Sun, 6 Beaufort, Sand, Birds and Lizard

Today Sander, Bart and I went to Botshol (where?!) and IJmuiden to look for animals. Our first goal was the Daurian Shrike (Lanius isabellinus) Botshol (near Abcoude). After being very patient he showed up. We succeeded!
Our next trip was to IJmuiden. Our main goal was the Black Guillemot (Cepphus grylle), but we did not succeed. We still got the European Shag or Common Shag (Phalacrocorax aristotelis) which is very rare in the Netherlands. We also saw a juvenile sand lizard (Lacerta agilis) ‘with 6 Beaufort in October’ and we saw some Ruddy Turnstones (Arenaria interpres).
I didn’t get a successful picture of the sand lizard because of the conditions and someone scared him away. 🙁
